Welcome to the Registrar's Office.
In this office we are responsible for
maintaining and archiving your academic records from
registration to graduation. Among our various activities
we:
- receive and evaluate transcripts from the schools
from which you may transfer
- prepare and issue class schedules
- conduct registration
- receive, record and report the grades of your classes
here at CUC
- issue transcripts of your grades to other institutions
upon your request
- maintain your addresses and current majors/minors
based on information you provide to us
- verify enrollment for lending institutions and
the Veterans Administration
- determine your eligibility for graduation and honors
- oversee graduation
- maintain the archives of your academic records
The Registrar/Director of Records is Dr.
Tony Futcher. Besides having overall responsibility
for the office, he evaluates transfer credits, maintains
the master course catalog, produces and maintains the
class schedules, determines eligibility for honor societies,
and gives final clearance for graduating students. In
addition to these duties, he is the academic advisor
for students taking a General Studies degree.
There are three full-time Assistant Registrars and
one part-time Assistant to the Registrar.
Ms. Deria Gadsden is likely to be the
first person you meet in our office. She has among her
duties responsibility for the front desk in the Records
Office, organization of registration and graduation,
overseeing verification of attendance for lending institutions,
issuing transcripts, maintenance of addresses, and registration
of External Degree students.
Ms. Anne Saggurthi has primary responsibility
for degree audits. She checks the graduation contracts,
compares them with requirements needed for graduation
and checks for honors. Other responsibilities include
preparing data for diplomas, compiling graduation statistics,
updating student majors, and preparing RAP sheets.
Mr. L. David Harris has primary responsibility
for student records, receiving, entering, and reporting
grades, and maintaining and archiving the permanent
records. In addition, he is the liaison for the Veterans
Administration.
